It is the king of the Meursault climats and the one that deserves to be classified Grand Cru before the other Premiers Crus of the commune. The vineyard looks at Puligny and draws a certain refinement from it. Dense nose, with a mineral touch, discreetly spicy. Superb aromatic vibration on the palate. The body is dense and streamlined with a persistent saline finish, which continues on accents of lemon.

Technique

Viticulture

This vineyard is located just below Pierre Morey's. It is in fact the Petites Perrières, the last vineyard before Champ-Canet. The vineyard was planted at the end of the 1950s.

Oenology

The vinification is done entirely in oak barrels with relatively little new wood (maximum 20 to 25%). As the cellar is very cold, the fermentations are very long and so is the ageing: at least 18 months. No stirring of the lees (except in 1996 and 2007).
