Tamerán was created in 2019 by footballer and native of the Canary Islands, David Silva. Silva befriended Jonathan García (Suertes del Marqués), who helped him launch this 6-hectare estate on Gran Canaria. This cuvée opens with hints of lemon peel and citron. The attack is both lively and dense, creamy, opulent in form but fresh in flavour. This is a melting, dynamic, highly original wine that beckons the table. Wine Advocate: 94/100

Technique

Viticulture

The vines are grown organically, without the use of herbicides or systemic treatments. All work in the vineyards is carried out by hand. The hand-picked grapes are gently pressed before fermenting with indigenous yeasts in neutral oak barrels. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration.

Oenology

Barrel fermented with indigenous yeast, aged 9 months on lees in 500L barrels.
