Cercle International d'Études Œnosémiophiles. Founded in June 1993 in Lausanne, this group studies various aspects of wine bottle labels (historical, artistic, etc.). Its activities include the personal studies of the Cercle's members and the publication of the results of their work. This activity also includes scientific research, conferences, public exhibitions, and voluntary or on-demand collaboration with existing associations and wine and/or label museums. Admission is by co-optation, at the request of a member, by unanimous vote of the other members (the Circle includes only seasoned oenosemiophiles who have demonstrated their interest in in-depth research). Membership status remains confidential.
