Back A grape variety also known as Gros Bouteillan and Pisse-Vin, because it is a high-yielding variety: it is perhaps the most fertile grape variety in the world. It produces a mediocre wine with very little colour when yields are high: it can produce 4 to 500 hectolitres of wine per hectare. On the other hand, an Aramon de Coteau with controlled yields produces a good quality rosé wine and, under these conditions, its grapes must be consumed locally as they do not withstand transport.
