Cornalin Viouc, Maurice Zufferey - 2019

Viouc is one of the greatest cornalin of the Valais, from an old vineyard, which is rare with this variety that has been uprooted a lot and therefore almost disappeared. Very nice aromas of violets, cherries, as well as subtle notes of cinnamon. On the palate, it produces a beautiful impression of richness and complexity. Its tannins are very fine, chiselled. A marvel.

The vines are worked in integrated production mode. Part of the estate has permanent grass cover. The soil is limestone.

Oenology

After pressing, the Cornalin de Viouc is placed in oak barrels where it is aged for 12 to 13 months.
