Giacomo Mori's Riserva Castelrotto is something of an archetype of the beautiful historic Chianti. Its scents of spicy red fruits, mint, and light oak announce a wine of character. The palate is fat and opulent, with ripe, languid fruit. With its body and tannic mass, it will last for several years, but it can already be drunk decanted for two hours.

Technique

Viticulture

A small family vineyard of 9 hectares located 80 km south of Siena. The Riserva Castelrotto is the estate's great wine, expressing a great sandy-clay terroir.

Oenology

Vinification in stainless steel vats of 40 and 60 hl, temperature controlled. Aged for 24 months in Allier oak barrels of first and second passage. Additional maturation in bottles for 6 to 10 months.
