The 2020 vintage marks Père Pape’s new signature with a 100% Grenache single-varietal wine made from their old vines planted on the northern plots of the appellation, Bédines and Boisdauphin.
Oenology
Hand-harvested into 20-kg crates, hand-sorted in the vineyard and at the winery, transferred to vats by gravity, fully crushed, and partially destemmed. Maceration for 25 to 30 days in concrete tanks at controlled temperatures, with extraction achieved through racking and pumping over. Only indigenous yeasts and lactic acid bacteria are used. Aged for 24 months on lees in large oak casks and amphorae.
