Viticulture

Beautifully situated on the southern slope of St-Emilion, adjacent to Pavie, Larcis-Ducasse enjoys a terraced vineyard in its upper part. The vines have an average age of 35 years. Since the 2002 vintage (included), Nicolas Thienpont's team has been managing the estate, advised by Stéphane Derenoncourt. Like some other estates on the Côte Sud, Larcis has a cellar that was "avant-garde" a century ago. Indeed, everything here is done by gravity, without pumping.

Oenology

The vinification process favours gentle extractions, completed by 18 months of barrel ageing.
