Viticulture

A neighbor of Cheval Blanc, La Conseillante occupies a privileged position on the Pomerol plateau, where gravel, sand and deep or superficial clay alternate. The Günzian gravel of Pomerol's high terrace is one of Bordeaux's finest terroirs.

Oenology

Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days, vatting for 27 days. 5% of production undergoes full vinification. Vinification in fully temperature-controlled, epoxy-lined concrete vats. Aged 70% in new French oak barrels, 27% in one-wine barrels and 3% in amphorae. Ageing period: 18 months.
