Located in the south-west of the Pauillac appellation, Château Haut-Batailley is now in the hands of the Cazes family (Château Lynch Bages, in Pauillac). It was bought in March 2017 from the Brest-Borie family. The future of Haut-Batailley looks very promising, with a dedicated management team, high-performance technical equipment (renovated in 2004), and still its beautiful terroir of deep gravel on 22 hectares planted with old vines, the majority of which are Cabernet Sauvignon (65%). The wines are aged in barrels - 14 months - including 60% new wood.
