Viticulture
The Fronsac appellation has some great terroirs, with clay-limestone and sandy limestone soils that warm up very quickly. The Guinaudeaus wanted to create their ideal vineyard by buying plots of land. The idea was to focus on Cabernet Franc. Surface area under vines: 3ha. Vines 20 years old. Sustainable viticulture. Manual green harvesting adapted to climatic conditions (pruning, leaf removal, thinning).
Oenology
Harvested by hand; double sorting in the vineyard, 3rd sorting in the cellar. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats; gentle maceration, measured extraction. Aged for 15 months in oak barrels (1/3 new, 2/3 single-wine).
