Produced entirely in the municipality of Serralunga, this Barolo has the elegant, serious and deep character of the best local wines, which are among the noblest in the region. The nose opens with delicate notes of raspberry, plum and pepper. The palate is both powerful in energy and refined in texture. It lingers on citrus fragrances. A lord.

Viticulture

Produced entirely in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, south-east of the Barolo DOCG. Vines planted in 1984 - 1996. Guyot pruning. Terroirs considered: Sorano, Costa Bella, Baudana, Meriame, Cerretta, Broglio. First year of production: 1996.

Oenology

Harvested in mid-October. Fermentation lasts about 25 days with daily pumping over halfway through (vinification in cement vats). Aged in 50 hl French oak barrels (18 to 36 months depending on the vintage and the vineyard of origin).

Suggestions for accompaniment

Cold cuts - Vinaigrette of veal loin cooked with string - Linguine al ragù.
