Originaire du berceau de la viticulture et extrêmement résistant aux maladies, sa particularité est sa capacité à s'adapter parfaitement aux climats continentaux, ainsi que sa peau très épaisse qui, tout en aidant à maintenir l'élégance et la fraîcheur du raisin, le protège également contre les variations brusques de température (40°C le jour/20°C la nuit) présentes à 1375 altitudes pendant les mois d'été.

Yeraz (the dream, in Armenian) symbolises the wish for a revival of the oldest wine culture and the rediscovery of forgotten places and ancestral native grapes. The wine has a lovely ethereal nose and a fine, elegant and pure taste, reminiscent of the great Pinot Noirs as much as of certain Tuscan Sangiovese with character. A world of spice and red fruit. Fineness and character. Great emotion!

Viticulture

Yeraz is produced without irrigation from more than 100-year-old goblet vines, grown at an altitude of 1600 metres, on phylloxera-free soil, which gives the plant little vigour, and of a calcareous, sandy nature.

Oenology

Fermentation takes place via indigenous yeasts, at controlled temperatures, in concrete vats, while maturation is carried out in traditional amphorae of various sizes and in large, unroasted tuns for 24 months, followed by a further 12 months in bottle.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Grilled tuna with ginger - Eggplant and tomato confit pie with Thai lemongrass - Veal tendrons with tarragon.
